What you getStandard butchery consists of shoulders and legs into three joints bone in, belly into one belly slab joint and the remainder into belly slices. Back into chops and spare rib chops. One hock. Half head, trotters, kidney and liver are not included as standard but can be provided on request at no extra cost. We are happy to butcher to your specific requirements. Large joints and pork boxes are provided to order. Rare breed weaners are regularly available from The Lilac house. Please telephone or email for availability. All piglets are born free range and weaned at 8 weeks old they are wormed and ready to go at 9 weeks old. Piglets can be registered with the BPA for an additional fee of £10 per piglet. The Process First you decide on the breed of pig you would like, then we source one for you, either from our own herd or from fellow breeders across the country. We then rear the piglet on for you through to pork here at The Lilac House. You receive monthly progress reports on your pig and after six month or so you receive a freezer full of delicious mouth watering pork to enjoy. Butchered to your requirements and delivered direct to your door. Full help and advice on choice of pig and butchering requirements is always available. If you would like to visit your pig you will be made very welcome. The CostThe cost of Your Own Pig, is £300. £100 deposit required, balance due before delivery. No Hidden Extras The price includes everything, piglet, bedding, feeding, vets as required, slaughter and butchery charges and delivery. There are no hidden extras. |
